Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), a set of digital transmission standards that is radically changing the approach to communication systems and applications around the world. ISDN provides the means for all forms of information – voice, images, Video, documents and data – to flow through a single network interface. ISDN’s higher speed and enhanced performance takes you to the next generation of telecommunications service.

ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) provided by Omantel, is a digital answer to all your communication requirements. ISDN can transfer the same volume of information faster than a conventional PSTN network and at a low cost. All the additional services of PSTN are available in ISDN.

Business entities will be served better and more efficiently by this type of access:

Primary Rate Access:

This type of access is especially designed for those who are expecting to make or receive a large number of simultaneous calls. The typical users of this service are large Companies, Hotels, Educational Institutions and Government Organizations. This provides thirty (30) “B” channels working at 64kbps each and a “D” channel (also at 64kbps) in a 2Mb system. This is becoming a favorite way to connect a PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) to the public Exchange. You can initially apply to utilize 10,20 or30 channels. The remain channels within the same 2mbits pipeline are still available. You just need to let us know the number of Primary Rate Access channels you require.
Benefits of ISDN:

High speed access to the Internet
Handles all types of information voice, data, text and video
Support up to two calls simultaneously through the same ISDN connection. (Data + Voice or Two Voice or Two Data Channels)
